LAWNCARE FAQS

We get it, you’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.

What services do you offer?

Our team of local experts offer residential lawn mowing, licensed fertilizer & weed control services, yard cleanup and pruning, licensed sprinkler repairs services, lawn aeration and dethatching, and snow removal (for Somersett and Sierra Canyon Communities).

See our Lawn Services page.

How do I pay?

Our clients have access to their own online client portal where you can view your services, set up a debit or credit card, and set up autopay so you never miss an invoice or payment. The last thing you want to worry about is getting an unexpected bill at random points of the season, with us there are no surprises as you can see all services, invoices, and payment at the palm of your hand.

What type of clients do you work for?

We have decided to focus on the residential community and their needs. We have noticed several lawn service companies move away from residential work after transition to commercial clients. However, because of our company values and mission we have made our business model to focus primarily on residential needs. What can we say? We want to help our neighbors.

How to take care of my lawn?

When the soil temperature starts to warm up, because your lawn has been dormant throughout winter it will want water and supplemental nutrients to “wake up” for the new season. Timely watering when temperatures are consistently above freezing at night supplemented with core aeration helps to get your lawn up on the right side of the bed. Add the appropriate amount of quick release fertilizer in the spring to supplement your lawn with its morning cup of coffee.

  1. Correctly and consistently watering. Note: You can use this link as a cheat sheet: Click Here

  2. Regularly scheduled mowing. Note: You should only be cutting off ⅓ of the grass blade when mowing. Mulch mow when possible.

  3. A fertilizer program that is designed for your region. Click here to learn more about our fertilizer program. Note: Fertilizer from a big box store are often lower quality and are comparable to giving your lawn an energy drink, instead of a well balanced diet.

What is “Core Aeration”? how do I know if I need it?

Core Aeration is key in the Northern Nevada region because it deals with very compacted soil. The aeration process relieves compaction, breaks up the thatch layer, and allows oxygen, water, nutrients, and fertilizer to directly reach the root system for best results. While not necessary in every part of the US, core aeration is a vital part of lawn growth in our region. Click here to learn more about our core aeration program.

What if you break something?

While we train our crews to avoid the most common issues around damage we understand that sometimes things just happen. In the end we want to maintain trust with our customers and if something is damaged by our crews we will inform you of what happened and either credit your account or replace new what was damaged. No matter the option you choose, we will make it right.

How often do you sharpen your blades?

We like to say, “A good blade is a blade sharpened daily!” The average homeowner will mow their yard 20 times in a season and our crew mows 20 to 30 homes a day. With that, we sharpen our blades every day to ensure a clean and sharp cut for every customer. A sharp blade is vital to the health of a lawn.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Not your average lawn mower! We use commercial Toro walk behind mowers, STIHL handheld equipment like string trimmers, hedge trimmers, and backpack blowers for our mow trucks. We “GO GREEN” and use EGO battery powered equipment for our new bike routes.
