Northwest Reno runs from McCarran Boulevard out to the foothills, with mid-century homes, newer builds, and plenty of established trees. Many streets have HOA rules, so a lawn that slips gets noticed.
Somersett sits higher than the valley floor, so the ground stays cool longer. Most Somersett lawns start their season between late March and mid-April.
Somersett is also home to Del Webb Sierra Canyon, the active-adult community where Cory’s Lawn Service started in 2006.
Old Southwest Reno has some of the city’s oldest trees and yards, and the leaves that come with them. Our fall and spring cleanups clear leaves and branches before they smother the grass. Many homes here still run older sprinkler systems, which our irrigation techs keep running.
Damonte Ranch is one of our busiest areas in south Reno, from Bella Vista and Wolf Run to Damonte Ranch Parkway.
Nearby Galena sits at the base of Mt. Rose, higher than most of the Reno valley. The clay soil in both packs down fast, so aeration makes a real difference. Our crews time mowing and feeding for the higher ground. We also serve nearby ArrowCreek.
Mogul and East Verdi sit along the Truckee River on Reno’s west edge. Lots range from small homes near the river to larger, semi-rural parcels. Cottonwood fluff, pine needles, and fall leaves pile up here, so seasonal cleanups matter. Every quote is based on the area we actually maintain.
Mira Loma is a settled neighborhood in southeast Reno, next to Double Diamond. Our crews mow and care for lawns there every week, and many customers have been with us for years. We also serve nearby Hidden Valley and Huffaker.
Lemmon Valley and Stead sit in north Reno, with open views and more space between homes. Yards here deal with wind, dry spells, and compacted soil. Aeration and a steady watering schedule help those lawns hold up through summer.

Cory's Lawn Service has been doing my yard in Northwest Reno for a couple of years. I initially hired Cory when I had some surgery and couldn't do my yard myself.
